1. What is the Waterstone Express Pass?
The Waterstone Express Pass is a decal, about the size of a stick of gum, which is affixed to the inside of your vehicle's windshield. This small decal instantly communicates with an antenna located at each designated resident lane (right lane) at all three of the Waterstone guardhouses.  This pass is designed to provide Waterstone residents the convenience of avoiding any delays in the designated guests' lane (left lane).
2. Who is eligible to receive an Express Pass?
Every home owner on record (according to the Miami-Dade County Tax Appraiser’s Office) within Waterstone is eligible to receive express passes (limited availability). Homeowner’s may also authorize others to receive an express pass by signing and notarizing the Homeowner Approval Acknowledgementform.
3. What if I recently purchased my home, but I am not listed as the home owner on record?
We understand that new homeowners’ information may not be up to date. If our records indicate a different homeowner on record, simply demonstrate your original warranty deed and photo identification to a Waterstone Express Pass representative at the Waterstone II Clubhouse and they will change the record on file for the Waterstone Express Pass data base. Please note that any passes issued to the previous owner will be deleted from the system causing a deactivation of all previous passes assigned to the previous home owner. 4. How do I obtain the assigned USER NAME and PASSWORD on my home's Express Pass Account?
Please visit the Waterstone Express Pass representative at the Waterstone II Clubhouse and they should be able to assist you in making any changes to your Express Pass account. (Photo ID is required)
5. How do I reschedule an appointment I made online?
If you cannot attend your scheduled appointment, simply Contact Us for further assistance with rescheduling. In most cases, an Express Pass representative can assist you at other dates and times of your convenience.
6. Are residents required to get an Express Pass?
No. The Waterstone Express Passes are designed as a convenience for the Waterstone residents and their authorized guests. Residents may choose to utilize the designated guest lanes to enter; however, this process may cause delays as you wait for  others to be processed ahead of you.
7. How much does the Express Pass cost?
Each pass is $20 (No cash or personal checks will be accepted). No refunds.
8. What documents do I need to obtain an Express Pass?
At the time of your appointment (issuance/installation), you will need to demonstrate: official photo identification, your most current utility bill (original only) and the vehicle’s registration. If you are not the home owner on record, you will be required to demonstrate an original Warranty Deed in order to prove that you are the new home owner on record OR you will have to provide a signed and notarized Homeowner Approval Acknowledgement form from the homeowner on file. Additionally, all commercial vehicles will need a Commercial Vehicle Waiver form signed by your neighborhood Property Owners or Home Owners Association (POA/HOA).
9. How can I get an Express Pass if I am renting a home or not the recorded home owner?
If you are not the home owner on record, simply have the home owner on record sign and notarize the Homeowner Approval Acknowledgement form and demonstrate this form to a Waterstone Express Pass representative at the time of your issuance/installation.
10. How does the Express Pass work?
The Waterstone Express Pass is small decal produced by,which utilizes the Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) technology to quickly communicate with the corresponding reader’s located at each Express Pass (Resident) lane. Much like the Florida Sun Pass system, this small decal is placed on the inside of the vehicle’s windshield and allows Express Pass users to travel through these lanes without delay. Please note that once installed, tampering with these decals may deactivate them and window film and lead in the windshield may also interfere with their proper function.
11. What if I have a motorcycle or motor scooter?
Your Waterstone Express Pass representative will be able to assist you with special options designed for motorcycles and some luxury vehicles that may have lead in the windshield. For specific questions regarding this issue please Contact Us.
12. How many Express Passes can each home be eligible for?
Every Waterstone home IS restricted to maximum amount of available passes. The maximum amount of permitted vehicles per home varies in each Waterstone neighborhood.
13. What if my Express Pass does not function properly?
If your Express Pass does not function properly, DO NOT use the designated Express Pass (Resident) lanes and Contact Us immediately for further instructions. If you should experience difficulties with your issued Express Pass, please DO NOT tamper with the pass. Simply, bring the vehicle to an Express Pass representative during the regular weekday hours  and the Express Pass representative should be able to assist you with a courtesy replacement pass. Please note that courtesy replacement passes exclude those with evidence of tampering.
14. How will my guests get through the guardhouses?
The Waterstone guardhouses utilize a “Soft Gate” system of entry, which means that when guests stop at the guardhouse, the guard will simply ask for photo identification from the driver. The identification will be digitally recorded along with the driver’s image and the vehicle’s license plate number. Unlike traditional guard house systems, the guard will not notify the resident in order for the guest to gain access. If the guest has the identification readily available, this process should take a few short seconds.
15. What if I change my vehicle or replace my windshield?
All new Express Passes will require you to register the new vehicle (if applicable) and will require the fee for a new Express Pass. Additionally, the previous vehicle may be deleted at the owner's request.
16. Why do I need to bring my car with me to install the Express Pass?
As part of our security measures, we want to ensure that each Express Pass is installed on the appropriate vehicle. Additionally, Express Pass representatives are specially trained to to ensure that these RFID decals are properly installed in the proper manner and location since there are many considerations for such. These factors ensure that your Express Pass will function properly while ensuring accountable records for your Waterstone community.
17. How can I pay for my Express Pass?
The best way to pay for these passes is online, during the pre-registration process. While logged into your account, you will see a “Make Payment” button at the bottom of the screen. Click on this button and it will guide you through a credit/debit card payment process via .

Waterstone Express Pass representatives will not accept cash or personal checks; however, if a credit/debit card is not an option, a Waterstone Express Pass representatives may accept a money order or cashier’s check for the amount owed on the account.
